- A process to decide who is to throw darts first is called 'diddle' or 'cork.' Decide the order by flipping a coin or playing the rock-paper-scissors game. Then, a player who throws a dart closer to the bull starts the game first.- One throw is where a player throws three darts. After completing a throw, take turns with your opponent. When both players complete a throw each, a single round is completed.- Make sure to stand inside the throw line when throwing darts. If a local rule prescribes for players to stand in front of the throw line, follow the local rule. -

- It is dangerous to throw darts as if pitching balls in a baseball game.
